1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the services provided by Aerospace Printing Systems ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or submit any files for manufacturing.
2. Services
We provide FDM (fused deposition modeling) 3D printing services, including instant automated quoting for mesh-based files (STL, OBJ, 3MF, PLY), manual quoting for complex CAD formats (STEP, IGES), file analysis, and manufacturing of custom parts. Quotes are estimates generated from geometric analysis of your uploaded file and the material and quantity you select. Final pricing is verified server-side before payment is captured and may be adjusted if file issues are identified during production review.
3. Orders and Payment
All orders are subject to acceptance and payment verification. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, in which case you will receive a full refund. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of checkout. Order amounts are recomputed server-side using authoritative pricing configuration before the charge is authorized, ensuring the amount you pay matches the verified quote.
4. File Responsibility & Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all files you upload. By submitting a file, you represent and warrant that you hold the legal right to manufacture the design and that the file does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use your file solely for the purpose of analyzing, manufacturing, and shipping your order. We do not share, sell, or distribute your files to third parties.
5. Prohibited Content
You may not use our services to manufacture any object that is illegal, including but not limited to firearms, firearm components, weapons, explosives, or any item regulated under applicable law. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, and refund any order containing prohibited content, and to report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.
6. Quotes and Pricing
Instant quotes are calculated from part volume, bounding box envelope, material multiplier, setup fees, and quantity discounts. A minimum order price applies. Quotes are estimates; the final price is confirmed at checkout after server-side verification. Manual quotes for complex CAD files are provided by our engineering team and are valid for 30 days.
7. Manufacturing Tolerances & Quality
FDM 3D printed parts are produced layer by layer and may exhibit visible layer lines, minor surface imperfections, and dimensional variations within standard tolerances (typically ±0.5 mm or ±0.2%, whichever is greater). Parts are geometrically anisotropic, meaning strength differs between the XY and Z axes. We do not guarantee that parts will meet any specific dimensional or surface finish requirement beyond standard FDM tolerances unless agreed in writing prior to production.
8. Material Properties & Suitability
Material specifications published on our site are representative values based on manufacturer data and our testing. Actual performance of a printed part depends on geometry, orientation, infill, and application. You are responsible for determining whether a material is suitable for your intended use. We do not warrant that any part is fit for critical, load-bearing, aerospace, medical, or safety applications without independent qualification and testing.
9. Design Guidelines
You are responsible for ensuring your file is printable and conforms to our published design guidelines. Parts exceeding the maximum build volume will be flagged and may require a manual quote. Files with non-manifold geometry, zero-thickness walls, or other issues may be rejected or require rework at additional cost.
10. Shipping & Delivery
Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days from order confirmation, plus shipping time. We are not liable for carrier delays. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier.
11. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled for a full refund before production begins. Once a part has entered production, cancellation is not possible and refunds are at our discretion. Pending orders that are not completed within two hours of checkout are automatically cancelled and no charge is captured.
12. Returns & Refunds
Because 3D printed parts are custom-manufactured to your specifications, they cannot be returned for a refund except in cases of manufacturing defect or an error on our part. If you receive a defective part or the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will reprint or refund at our discretion. Refunds, when issued, are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe.
13. Warranties and Disclaimers
We strive for accuracy and quality in every part we produce. However, our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee parts will be suitable for any specific application.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of our services is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or use.
